Gas blast in Russia kills 37

37 people were killed in a gas explosion in a multi-storied building in Russia.

More than a dozen people are still missing.

The explosion took place from the gas leak in the building with 48 apartments at 6am on Monday.

Many people were asleep in the building during this time. The building is located in Magnitogorsk city, adjacent to Moscow's Ural Mountains, 1,700 kilometers east of Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has visited the blast site.
